Oscar Onyema Unfinished Business March 3, 2012

Osaze,

Dude, what happened to our next outing?

You were a progressive mind that supported our transformation agenda at the Exchange, and wanted to be a major part of it.  I just looked at your proposal on the Bond market again, and remembered your wise comments and efforts to get our market making program going.  It’s hard to believe that you will not be here to implement these and other lofty ideas you had for the Nigerian Capital Market.  However, we take solace in knowing that you are at a better place, and that your colleagues at FBN Capital will pick up the baton to run the good race, if only to make you proud.

I imagine you are up there smiling at us, and saying it will all be well.  May God give your entire family the fortitude to bear your early departure.  It will all be well.

Adieu Brother,

Oscar

Folasope Aiyesimoju Till we meet again March 3, 2012

You exuded energy strong and vibrant like the sun,

A boundless spirit; an inspiration and model to everyone.

You left a deep impression on every soul you met,

Your combination of bravery and passion is one the world so rarely gets.

We, your friends and family, have mourned, questioned and wept,

And, through tears, we hold on tightly to the memories we've kept.

Our prayer is that you are at peace in a place far, far above,

We will have you in our hearts, forever, in a place of deepest love

Ubaka Mbanefo Till we meet again March 3, 2012
I can't start to describe the feelings and words will never explain the connection we had and the brotherhood we shared.  I feel pain, yet I know you're in a better place and the work you've begun, is ours to continue and may it never end.

You believed, you led by example, you loved life and you saw that which many are yet to discover.  We spent so much time together that we knew exactly how each other thought.  Often misunderstood, we said we would be different because we would make a difference.  Damn or be damned, we were going to do it and you did.

You've done us proud and each day, you will continue to live in our hearts.  It's like just yesterday we were talking about how important it is to get the kids together and planning on time in 2012.  We will still make that happen.

Don't forget, "we run tings, tings no run we" . . .

Love and strength to Ibukun, Adesuwa, Ehiose, Aunty and Uncle, Enoma and Egbe.

Ayo & Tunde Ajose-Adeogun Rest in Peace March 2, 2012
Osaze was 'Good People'. An amazing, brilliant soul. Totally without airs. He walked his talk and took his life seriously.

I pray that God will give his family all that they need to get through this very sad and trying time.

May all the good work Osaze did continue to grow and bring forth good fruit, a worthy legacy for a man that gave his best in all the things he got involved in.

Rest in peace.
Solomon Wifa Farewell my friend... March 2, 2012
It is with tremendous shock and sorrow that I learned of Osaze's passing.  A bright young inspiring Nigerian with exceptional talent. I was previlaged to share in part of his journey and for that I am eternally thankful.  Our prayers are with Osaze and his family at this time.
Julie Oyegun A Star Is Gone! March 2, 2012
Osaze
Hard to believe that we never really met though I came to know you vicariously through Egbe.  She was so proud of you and full of love and the best will towards you her brother -- as only another sister can understand......

You have left a huge void and a tremendous legacy.  And in just 44 years!  What a tough act to follow!

So it remains only for us to pray and trust that your loved ones will keep your zeal alive; that your reputation will continue to inspire them and others and finally that one day soon the sorrow of your departure will pass to give way to a lasting celebration of your precious life. IJN amen.

Babs Uku Gone too soon March 2, 2012
Osaze, still cannot believe you are gone.  May the Good Lord comfort and strenthen Ibukun and the children, Aunty and Uncle, Egbe and Enoma and all your dear friends at this difficult time.  sleep well dear friend, sleep well.
Erejuwa Gbadebo What words are there? March 2, 2012
At times like this, words are really inadequate.

Like so many others, I express my deepest sympathies at this sad time to you, Ibukun, and to your lovely children, Adesuwa and Ehi .  Though I have not known you for that long, my prayers for you are no less than those who have known you for far longer - that God will comfort and keep you, and He will be your strength and rampart.

Ibukun, take heart!  As the bible says, "this too shall pass!"  Know that on the day of Our Lord, you guys will meet again.
